Febreze Sniffs Out New Target: Dorm Dwellers!

Yes it’s true, P&G is using Facebook because as their ad agency say, “mainstream media buys are not effective for 18- to 22-year-olds.” The campaign is targeting a new demo: coeds. According to a new survey of college students, Facebook beat out MySpace as the most popular social-networking site for the 18-22 year demo. So now welcome to “whatstinks.com.” Features include: the “Dank Game,” a video game where players are armed with bottles of Febreze to attack dirty socks and boxers, and a “What Stinks” news feed that gathers news of smells all around the world. Ahhhhh, what’s next…smellovision?
